JESUS FUCKING CHRIST PEOPLE.

The uploader DID NOT SING THIS SONG.
The uploader DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE PIANO OR THE STRINGS.
The uploader HAS RIPPED THIS SONG OFF OF CASCADA.

Yes, all CresentDolls has done is rip Cascada (which infringes copyright), put an out of tune bass on it and layered a poorly mixed beat over the top, which totally ruins the whole meaning and feeling of this song.

Srsly, people. Don't credit this artists for doing almost fuck all to an already great tune and making it worse.

Nice mix mate, clean and crisp. Nice to see some hardstyle popping up on this site. I'd love to hear the individual tracks submitted here :D

Hmm, some constructive criticism.. I'm not a expert on this genre so excuse my mistakes. On the last few songs the kicks had a long underlying bass decay, which might've been taking energy from some of the things in the offbeat. On the first few songs the offbeat saw had a very high signal, sounded a bit like real crisp white noise, I didn't like that... Hmm I think some ambient breaks could've been nice, like where other instruments are used, before building up to the main body of the song, these aren't the full songs so I can't really back that up.

Anyways, great tunes, better than alot of stuff on this site. Good luck on future tunes mate :D

Overall, verrry good for a original composition, flows well, isn't too repetitive and good piano playing.

Okay, points to improve on, the top notes sounded a bit to harsh and sharp sometimes, I don't know if you could have done the top end melody on a lower octave, but yeah harsh and stuff. The top end chords weren't really consistantly hit, but you can't really expect too much from a live recording.

I think that this would sound good if it was digitally enhanced, but that really depends if you want to hear a authentic live peice or a digitally enhanced peice..

Other than the things I said in this review, it was fooking amazing mate :D
5'd 9'd. :3

Thanks for the review. I'm trying to figure out what spots you were talking about (I hate how I have to wait for my own song to load :P) BUt there are times when I let the emotion playing take over, sometimes I hit notes to hard and they reverberate louder than they should. Basically the treble was played in octaves so every note on the reble was actually two one octave apart. It's really hard to keep that playing while your doing a bass that is that complex as well. Theres bound to be some mess up's iuntil I can perfect my piano skills. Seriously thanks for the pointers and I'll use it sometime in the future.

LOLWUTS NAV DOING AT THE TOP OF TEH CHARTS.

Ok I voted 8 because I thought there could have been a bit more obvious variation in this. And the hat had a sizzle, but the far top end sounded like white noise. I think there's a sweep in there that needs to be EQd a bit because as soon as it came it everything else just went. YFOWOINWNFUIHFOSFOPSJNRNNS.

Would make a good backing track, :]

Nav responds:

Thanks! :)

Yeah, that's what it was designed to do! Sorry, its a bit old.

Hey man, nice track. I take it you've had a bit of practice before this, because no-one ever creates stuff like this on their first few months.

The only thing I could recommend is that maybe you need to pitch up the vocals a bit, because a manly voice doesn't really go with euphoric trance.

Anyways, insta-classic.

5'd and fav'd

PS. Is there any chance you could send me the acapella so I could remix it?

SkyMarshall responds:

Thank you for that one :) Sure, been doing this for a while. 15 years I think now :) Starting out in ProTracker on the Amiga 500 ... oh teh memories. About the vocals, it would be nice to have a female vocal ofcourse - but that has yet to happen. So I sing myself. Ofcourse you can remix - but I think the original vocals are gone. I will look through the library to make sure, though. I do the actual sequencing and recording of vocals in different sessions and different software you see, and things have a tendency to get lost after mastering. But I'll check c",)

I don't really listen to this type of music much but it seems to be a quite proffesional and full track.

I would never be able to get this kinda sound out of an app, you make this by yourself in a virtual studio? or have you got a band?

Anyways, I think the hats need a bit of humanization, like randomize the velocities of the hats so it isn't so consistant because no drummer can hit a drum with exact consistency.

Nice track, and good luck with future ones :3

Nessbeatsfox responds:

Thanks for the review! I just record everything myself, so I don't have a band. I use a bunch of different programs and mix the sounds together. That's me playing the drums too, and I use a real drums set, so I think that's about as humanoid as you can get. I know what you mean though, and I'll look into that on future tracks. Thanks again for the review!

I can see what you mean by bad EQ, some sounds in there were a little muddy, and also a bit harsh on the ear, but I'm guessing you were meant to do that?

I think the structure and composition of this track is great, flows well and isn't *too* repetitive. There's also some great riffs in there.

The only thing I could suggest is eqing (of course) and the kick needs to be sharper and punchier, right now it's just too rounded and soft and maybe you could add a little side-chaining in there to bring the kick out a bit and make it more .. rythmic or danceable, if you know what I mean?

Anyways, good luck on future tracks :3

WritersBlock responds:

Yeah, the synths are quite gritty and when they're all together, they're kinda interfering with eachother and I think it gets way too loud at some points.
I messed about with that kick so damn much. It's got a little delay on it that's barely noticeable that has a cool effect. I might bring that out a bit more, and play around with it a bit, like you said, sharper sound and a sidechain would be cool.
Thanks for the review and encouragement.

Hey, checking in to return a review :D

Ok so there was some good use of stereo wideness in this peice, although I heard the porta'd synth was more centered than the saw bass when basses should really be mono and centered and high ends should be wide.

I thought the use of the vocals was great but after they had been triggered I would've thought it would sound better with a straight four to the floor beat with the bass side chained, most trance/dance/techno songs won't use a breakbeat as their main beat, it's just not as danceable at these tempos.

I thought the melody was way too consistent the way through, you maybe should've composed a sub melody to play before and then build up to the main melody, even if it's just the chords.

This track's basis is good, and I thought the fills were pretty proffesional.
Anyways, good luck on your next tune mate :3
