Overall it was a good song, a song I could listen to over a few times and without being sick of it. I like the dynamics of the 'bass' lead with the slides and parameter automating.
Also, the transition from the intro to the main section of the song was pretty cewl, although I think the kick drum build up is getting a bit repetitive by now.
The song seemed a bit empty in the low/mid section at around 100hz, I think that the kick drum was a bit high and brief to fill that section. I think making the kick a bit heavier would make it sound better.
It could use some hats to give it more page and bring the drums together more. They seem a bit seperated with nothing with enough presence in between the kicks and snares.
Tbh, I think this was a bit too 'dark' (... Need a better word to describe it..) to be Darnells song.
But for an unfinished tune, it's a good concept.
